Drácula

The Bram Stoker Dracula book shows the diaries of Jonathan Harker, of his fiancée (mine), the best friend of his fiancee (Lucy), the Dr. Seward, and other characters that  tell the story of all that had to pass to defeat the great vampire Dracula. 

Jonathan harker is a young lawyer who lives in London. Jonathan is sent to Transylvania to help Count Dracula on the purchase of a house in London. From this life of Jonathan and those that surround it will change in a very dark way.

 

 

 

CHAPTER 1

 

Journal of Jonathan Harker 4 and May 5

 

Jonathan Harker describes the scenery while traveling from Munich to Hungary. The owner of the inn where he spends the night gives a crucifix to find the place where you are going and especially to express the superstition that on the night in which he travels, is the night where all the evil spirits are released . The trip diligence is only up to a distance, and at one point, it collects the carriage of Count Dracula. Jonathan describes the enormous physical strength that the driver has the ability to control the wolves and the journey overnight to reach the castle of Count.

 

CHAPTER 2

 

Journal of Jonathan Harker's May 5 at night to May 8

 

Arriving at the castle, Jonathan waits at the door until Dracula opens the door and invites him in. Harker feels he sees dark shadows on the dusty and dark castle of Count, feels fear and no mirrors found anywhere in the castle. Count teaches her room, giving you dinner and talk with Harker about his work during his stay there. Both go to sleep just before dawn.

 

May 7: Harker wakes up late and going to the library, where books and maps located on London. At night, Harker and Count argue about and the new property acquired in England: the Carfax Finca, medieval-looking, dark and secluded from the city, next to an asylum.

 

May 8: To be able to shave, Jonathan uses a small pocket mirror he carried. The Count enters the room while Harker shaves more it ever gets to see the image of Dracula in his mirror and accidentally cut the skin. CHAPTER 3

Harker discovers that no servitude in the house and thought it was the Count himself who got into the carriage, also, the supernatural power of Conde is questioned about wolves that night.

 

Jonathan Dracula tells the stories and battles that his family has faced against the Turkish invaders, as if he himself had witnessed all. The Count asks you to send letters to his boss and friends to warn that he is well and will stay in Transylvania a month since have yet ready to leave some details and clarify some doubts that the Count has about Carfax.

 

That same night, Dracula Jonathan sees out the window of his room and sees him slip between the castle walls like a lizard. Harker is scared and what kind of creature is this is questioned, however, also realizes that he is a prisoner of Conde and running a huge risk, because the only safe place in the castle, on instructions from Conde, is its own room.

 

May 15: Harker has again seen the Count out like a lizard between the walls and fail to find a way out. He runs into a room that is between open and dominated by sleep, he falls asleep. Shortly after three voluptuous and sensual women, two brunettes and a blonde who observe and enticed. Jonathan described the blonde with sharp and eager to approach your neck teeth, at that time, Dracula enters the room, the blonde snapped away and scolds him for having disobeyed his orders not to touch Harker. CHAPTER 4

 

Journal of Jonathan Harker from May 18 to June 30

 

Harker believes that everything has been a dream, but to go to the room of the 3 women during the day, make sure it has not been a nightmare to find that the door is open.

 

May 19: The Count asks Harker send three cards with different dates of shipment. Jonathan suspects his last day of life is the last date of the letters.

 

May 28: Jonathan realizes that a group of Gypsies have camped in the courtyard, so write two letters, one for Mina (his girlfriend) in shorthand and one for Hawkins (his boss), however, the Gypsies Count and deliver it to take preventive measures, Jonathan locks in your room

 

May 31: All clothing and accessories to travel from Jonathan gone

 

June 17: Two wagons arrived at the castle, but the door was locked Harker and his cries were not heard. The porters were carrying crates had been removed from the castle.

Mina tells Lucy she is learning shorthand, which is eager to see Jonathan and hopes to work with him when they marry. Mina will vacation Lucy to Whitby.

Lucy talks that has received three different proposals of marriage. One by Dr. John Seward, director of the asylum, the other Quincey Morris, a Texan, and the last and most important for her, Arthur Holmwood, who is in love.

CHAPTER 6

 

Journal of Wilhemina Murray July 24 and August 1

Dr. Seward's diary June 5 to July 20

 

RM Renfield, who collected flies, spiders and sparrows, sparrows ate raw because he was denied owning a cat. Seward is fascinated with this case and every detail as documented in his diary.

Mina is concerned that Jonathan has not returned and that Lucy has a sleepwalking disorder, like his father. Lucy can not leave the room at night because Mina is responsible for locking it. Arthur fiancee Lucy, Whitby had to leave because his father is ill. Mina meets the old man, who apologizes for mocking death and warns that a storm is coming smelling death.

 

CHAPTER 7

CHAPTER 8

 

Journal of Mina from 11 to 19 August

 

At dawn, Mina realizes that Lucy has left the room, so he goes to find, goes to the cemetery and is sitting next to a black silhouette leaning over her. CHAPTER 10

 

Journal of Dr. Seward from 7 to 10 September

In the morning, Seward and Van Helsing Lucy came home, when no one opened them, forced their finding maidens still drugged, Lucy's mother dead and Lucy in worse shape than ever. Quincey, who had just arrived also, is offered to the fourth blood transfusion. Van Helsing finds Lucy left the note and reads with Seward, most choose to keep secret that event. The state of Lucy did not improve further their physical condition had changed, the teeth were sharper and his sleep was acting strangely. Mina letter to Lucy September 18

 

Mina tells Lucy that he's back with Jonathan, but Mr. Hawkins has died, leaving all his property. Jonathan is still weak and sometimes wakes up at night by nightmares.

 

Journal of Dr. Seward September 20

 

Seward discovers that Lucy's teeth are sharper than before. The next morning, Lucy dies, who in a last breath, try to kiss your beloved, but Van Helsing prevents and protects the neck.

 

CHAPTER 13

 

Journal of Dr. Seward

CHAPTER 14

 

Journal of Mina from 23 to 25 September

 

Mina is very worried because he knows if you've read in the newspaper of Jonathan's true. The next day, he receives a letter from Dr. Van Helsing asking to see her to talk about Lucy.

CHAPTER 15

 

Journal of Dr. Seward September 28

 

Van Helsing and Seward examine the child who suffered aggression. After the sunset, both enter Lucy's tomb and discover that your body is not there, before this, perform a night watchman in the cemetery and just before dawn, Van Helsing rescues a child from the hands of Lucy. CHAPTER 16

 

Journal of Dr. Seward September 30

 

The four went to Lucy's tomb at night, and as expected, the body was not there. Van Helsing remains ostia placed around the tomb to prevent the entry of Lucy to it. Seward and Van Helsing found Renfield with a bloody face and a broken spine. Shortly thereafter, Art and Morris went down to see what was happening. CHAPTER 22

A Mina comes up with the idea to undergo hypnosis to ascertain the whereabouts of Conde. Van Helsing and Mina hypnotizes reveals that Dracula is on a boat. All deduce that the Count is trying to flee and the bottom drawer is in the boat.

 

CHAPTER 24

 

Recording Van Helsing to Harker

 

Van Helsing warns the couple that the Count has fled back to Transylvania and will try to follow the route. Jonathan still feels sorry for all the suffering that has been exposed and the scar on the forehead of his wife still remembered the terrible threat Dracula.

 

Journal of Mina Harker October 5

 

Van Helsing explains how the Count managed to escape and enter the bottom drawer to a boat that will cross the Black Sea to reach Transylvania. Both Mina like him, are aware that Dracula back if you do not stop.

The hypnotic trances of Mina are becoming rare. All hope to arrive in time before the drawer to be landed.

 

Journal of Jonathan Harker October 30

 

Once in Galatz, the captain of Czarina Catherine reported that the journey from London seemed to be guided by the devil, for they were at high speed whenever the Czarina was approaching another vessel, a fog bank appeared, preventing any visibility.
